ABOUT US
Affordable Housing Community Development Corporation (“AHCDC”) is a charitable organization formed in 2008 to promote and facilitate the construction, expansion and rehabilitation of affordable housing for low and moderate-income persons and seniors. AHCDC also was established to combat community deterioration through improved housing and to ameliorate housing discrimination. The organization is an independent non-profit corporation created under the laws of the State of Georgia and approved as a tax exempt entity under Internal Revenue Code Section 501(c)(3) by the Internal Revenue Service on August 11, 2008. The organization has a wholly-owned non-profit subsidiary, The Piedmont Foundation of South Carolina, Inc. which serves as Managing General Partner of two low-income housing tax credit communities in South Carolina. AHCDC was approved in 2020 to do business by the California Secretary of State as a California approved non-profit corporation. AHCDC was also approved by The California Tax Credit Allocation Committee (“CTCAC”) as Managing General Partner of 5 apartment communities in San Diego, Roseville and Dixon California.
